The Gage Academy of Art

The Gage Academy of Art is a school of fine arts, which is situated in Seattle, Washington, in the United Sates of America. The school is specialized in the fields of painting, drawing, and sculpture. The main core of the program is aimed on providing the students with the traditional observational training program. However, there is one emphasis within the program; it is as follows: the foundation of the skills of the students in the fields of figure drawing and painting.
One is able to find some additional classes within the curriculum of the Gage Academy of Art. They are as follows: perspective, cast driving, and color theory.
The history of the Gage Academy of Art is as follows: it was established in 1989 by Gary Faigin, a famous New York artist, and the architect Pamela Belyea. In the following summer, the first workshop was opened in Santa Fe. By the year of 1992, the number of the new workshops was opened in New York, Seattle, and Santa Fe.
The Academy became nonprofit in 2000, and got the name of the Seattle Academy of Fine Arts. The year of 2004 was the prominent year within the history of the Gage Academy of Art, as in that year, the academy moved to the St. Nicholas School Building in Seattle’s Capitol Hill. This event gave the opportunity to the academy to develop faster and to accommodate the greater amount of students.
