If you are planning to work in the martial field, you should know that it will be difficult to learn. You should wait for strict discipline. Your body and mind must be in focus for a long time. You’ll perform the same feats that martial arts masters do.

The first step is choosing the right school. A little effort and you’ll find it. Traditional martial art schools are numerous throughout the country. Search your area at first. It is advisable to visit the school before making a last decision.

It is interesting to see the classes. How do instructors interact with students? Instructors should respect the freshmen. Pay attention to the size of classrooms, they should be spacious. Do men and women study separately? What are the principles of school?

Try to talk to the chief instructor, they call him the Sensei. What kinds of training are presented at school? Find out the instructors’ rank. Styles of martial arts differ.

Kung fu, karate and tae kwon do are the combative arts taught at martial art schools. Each style has a unique technique. Judo and aikido are considered to be the grappling arts; they stress on takedowns. Tae kwon do stresses on kicks. Karate is believed to be a good balance of leg and hand work.

Before choosing a school, make sure you are 100% comfortable with the environment. Do you like the instructors? Trial run is great – if you can, take an introductory course.
